I see a lot of rooms. Sometimes I stay in them. I wanted to move in to this one. It doesn’t necessarily follow that someone as uniquely talented in the kitchen as Frances Atkins knows how to furnish a bedroom. Fear not, she does, and with no small amount of style.
She’s thought of everything. In as classy a place as this you’d expect snow white high thread count bedlinen, top notch textiles, fat towels and a flat screen telly, and all these things are present and correct. Add underfloor heating, Molton Brown goodies (including a toothbrush and tiny tube of paste THANK GOODNESS or Jill would’ve had to have endured my dog breath at breakfast) and a fridge stocked with not just fizz but fresh milk for your (proper ground caffetiere) morning coffee.
I stood for probably too long in the vast monsoon shower, lounged around in my cosy sitting room in a snowy white robe (found hanging in my walk-in mirror-doored wardrobe) with said coffee nibbling on the cute home made cookie watching breakfast TV. A persistent drizzle falling on the velux precluded a pre-prandial potter so I just gave in to it. Oh joy. You know how it is. Sometimes you just have to. The entire Yorke Arms experience is just pure, unadulterated pleasure.

Kid's Stuff? They're welcome.
Well Placed? Nidderdale is a stunning part of the county: pretty Pately Bridge is just along the narrow lane that runs alongside Gouthwaite Reservoir, the mighty limestone How Stean Gorge is a must-see, and Brimham Rocks a good place to build up an appetite.
Good Grub? Are you kidding? It kind of goes without saying. Historic.
